Explore South Gambia with a land rover or a 4 x 4 big army truck. These vehicles are all fitted with comfortable seats and once your seated the adventure can start. This is an great excursion to get a good impression of the day to day life in the Gambia, the culture and the nature. The roads can be bumpy and dusty but that is part of the adventure.
After leaving your hotel you start the day by visiting the live stock market of Abuko followed by a coffee/tea break at Lamin Lodge. Mind the monkeys who will try and drink from your cup. Continue driving through the country side, small villages and forests which are home to monkeys. babouns and other wild life. A high light is the visit to one of the local schools where you will be introduced to the school system of the Gambia (you can bring pens, excercise books, pencils. toys etc which are always appreciated). During the day you will also explore the fishing village of Tanji and have lunch on a deserted beach with time to go for a swim and catch some sun.
A complete day that will have many surprises and shows you beautiful and colourful Gambia.
