Gambia is a country with over 450 different species of birds and thus a must visit for bird watchers! In and around your hotel you will see birds when going to the Creeks and rice fields you will see loads more of beautiful and colourful birds.
Before sunrise you will go on board our comfortable boat, Mam Boye C. and the piroque will starts it cruise to Lamin Lodge. Whilst on board the friendly crew will serve you breakfast but leaving you enough time to watch the sunrise and the birds as they start permorming their morning duties by calling their friends. You will see pelicans, king fishers, different Herons, maybe an eagle and so many more.
After this relaxing leg of the trip it is time to strech your legs. Your transport is waiting for you at Lamin Lodge and will take you to the rice fields in the Lamin / Abuko area. Here you will walk through these fields and spot different birds. Your guide will point them out and give you the names.
Before noon you are back and your hotel and there the birds are also awaiting you.
