Formerly known as the Tafbel Hotel and now under the same management team as Bungalow Beach, customers will notice improvements in standards and service, however the lively, friendly atmosphere of the hotel remains the same. Sarge's is a hotel offering good value for money in a great central location for bars, restaurants and a craft market in Kololi.
The accommodation is arranged on three floors surrounding the central courtyard housing the swimming pool and sun terraces. The standard rooms are being refurbished and Gambia Experience guests are guaranteed these new rooms from this winter. Although they are fairly small, they are comfortable and a good standard for this grade of property with a television. Air-conditioning is available at a supplement and the hotel also offers larger triple rooms, giving a better option for a family with the ground floor rooms being especially suitable for children.
The hotel has access to a beach no more than 400 metres away that is reached through the Senegambia Hotel. Evening entertainment takes the form of local shows and the small restaurant offers a choice of inside or outside dining. Although you may find the hotel can be quite quiet in the evenings, due to the convenient location in the centre of Kololi there is an excellent variety of restaurants, a number of bars and nightclubs, a casino, craft market and shops all just outside the hotel.
