An excursion to the Baobab Island is an experience you can't miss. This small island is located in the Kombo East close to the historic village of Kuloro. This beautiful island is for over 300 years occupied by the Bainunkas, a tribe which originates from Guinea Bissau.
This tribe is known to be among others excellent palm wine tappers, oyster collectors, farmers and pottery makers. You will see some of these skills during your visit. The island is also home to many birds so you will spot them on the island and when proceding to the island by boat. A cultural encounter with the inhabitants is one of the highlights of this day.
A local lunch is served and let the nature and culture soak you up!
